C
Harprit S. Mattu [EH]
From: Steve Cortese <Steve@corteseinvestment.com>
Sent: Friday, July 28, 2017 5:56 PM
To: Harprit S. Mattu [EH]
Cc: nick@agramarketing.com; Timm@agramarketing.com; Robert McClellon [EH]
Subject: Re: Sample Results and Land Application
Harprit, we have stopped spreading material and waiting on two samples to come back. We hope to have them both on
Monday and will forward them when received. Steve
Sent from my iPhone
On Jul 28, 2017, at 4:06 PM, Harprit S. Mattu [EH] <hmattu@sjcehd.com> wrote:
Steve,
We still have not received the correct sample results for the material that is being land spread on the
north side of the property. Do not spread any additional material until sample results in compliance
with state standards have been submitted to and reviewed by this department. As of this date we have
received one sample result that was solely for metal concentration. We did not receive any results for
pathogen density for that sample. Every 5000 cubic yards of material must be sampled for metal
concentration and pathogen density (salmonella Sp. and fecal coliform). Below I have attached a link
which summarizes regulation pertaining to land application of material. #1 (Metal Concentration) and #2
(Pathogen Density) on the guidance sheet explain the sampling requirements (per 5000 cubic yards of
material). The material must also be applied within limits prescribed in #3.
http://www.caIrecycle.ca.gov/lea/regs/implement/LandApp.htm
Once again, halt all land application of material and submit correct sample results for material that is to
be land spread. Once we have reviewed the sample results, we will determine if land spreading of the
material can be continued.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Thank you,
Harprit S.
