1.4 SITE LOCATION <br /> The facility is located in the City of Lodi in San Joaquin County (see Figure 1). <br /> The address of the facility is 1333 East Turner Road, Lodi, California. <br /> 1.5 SITE PLAN DESCRIPTION <br /> The GNANSMRF= CVWS is a large volume transfer station facility located on <br /> approximately 46-:423 acres (see Figure 2). The transfer station activities, <br /> including the MRF, take place on approximately 44-6418 acres. The MRF <br /> operates within a 45,000 square feet building west of the transfer building. <br /> Operations at the CVVVSMRF= CVWS are currently permitted by SWFP <br /> number 39-AA-0017, dated July 23, 1997 and Use Permit Number U 91-15, <br /> dated June 26, 1991. The transfer station facility is designed to accept municipal <br /> solid waste generated by the City of Lodi and the surrounding communities. The <br /> MRF is a regional facility designed to assist the City of Lodi and surrounding <br /> areas in complying with the waste reduction and recycling mandates of AB939. <br /> The MRF accepts commingled recyclables and;source-separated recyclables. <br /> The facility also has the capability of accepting buy-back material: however this <br /> activity is currently suspended. and materials breught OR fer buy b Materials <br /> designated for recovery are manually and mechanically sorted to separate <br /> recyclables. The recyclables are then sold to secondary materials markets. The <br /> residual waste is transported to the on-site transfer station for final disposal. In <br /> addition, all waste loads unloaded directly in the transfer building are also <br /> inspected for any salvageable/recyclable materials. Identified materials (i.e., <br /> cardboard, mixed paper, metal, green waste, etc.) are separated and then <br /> transferred to the MRF, placed within bins, or transferred to the wood/green <br /> waste storage area. <br /> The facility has designated areas for: unloading and transfer of solid waste from <br /> refuse collectors and the general public, unloading of source separated <br /> recyclables, baling and storage of recyclable materials, for wood waste and yard <br /> waste storage and processing, for vehicle parking, office administrative activities, <br /> hazardous waste storage (from on-site refuse load checking activities and <br /> curbside recycling) and for miscellaneous activities related to the items listed <br /> above. <br /> Central Valley Waste Services-MRFIT-S 1-2 <br /> Transfer_lProcessing Report <br /> Section 1—2 15 1�34-24-17 <br />
