Access to the facility is from Turner Road (see Figure 2). Waste is brought to the
CVVVSMRF/TSCVWS from the greater City of Lodi and surrounding
communities. Waste materials are transferred to large transfer trucks and
transported to one of four landfills located within a 35 mile radius of the site.
1.6 ADJACENT LAND USE
Land use within 1,000 feet of the CVWS includes the following:
agricultural uses and a large winery to the east; a variety of industrial uses
including a cement batch plant, a truck terminal and warehouses to the south;
residences, Casa de Lodi Mobile Home Park and vacant industrial land to the
west; and the Mokelumne River, a recreational park and agricultural land to the
north. The nearest residence is located approximately 500 feet from the facility.
1.7 AREA CLIMATOLOGY
The climate of Lodi area is mild. Seasonally, summer temperatures typically
range between 530 and 92° Fahrenheit (F). Winter temperatures range between
350 and 53° F and rarely drops below freezing. The wet season at the
CVWS extends from October through April, and January is
typically the wettest month. The mean annual rainfall for the area is
approximately 16 inches. The internal roads of the GVWSMRF= CVWS are
paved providing all-weather access. In addition, waste and material unloading is
conducted inside the transfer station and/or MRF building which prevents litter
migration from wind and/or contact with storm water flows.
Central Valley Waste Services MRF=FTS 1-3
Transfer;Processing Report
Section 1—3-15-134-24-17
