Result in the loss of availability of a known mineral resource that
would be of value to the region and the residents of the state?
b. Result in the loss of availability of a locally important mineral
resource recovery site delineated on a local general plan, specific
plan, or other land use plan?
NARRATIVE DISCUSSION
Environmental Setting
The proposed project site is currently developed for industrial use and a single-family
i residence. There are no known mineral resources associated with the project site. The
Division of Mines and Geology Mineral Classification Map does not identify the project
site as potentially containing known valuable mineral resources. The project site is
located within an area mapped MRZ-1; these are areas with "little likelihood of
containing significant deposits" of economic minerals (Jensen and Silva, 1988).
Environmental Impacts
Impacts on Mineral Resources
The proposed project would involve re-use and expansion of an existing industrial site in
an area that has no identified mineral resource significance. The project would have no
known effects on mineral resources.
Level of Significance: No impact
Mitigation Measures: None required
Potentially Less Than Less Than No Impact
11.NOISE Significant Significant Significant
Impact With Impact
Mitigation
Would the project: Incorporation
a.
