p--Dichlorobenzene <br />The chemical .p--dichlorobenzene is a colorless solid with a <br />mothball--like odor. <br />Exposure to p--dichlorobenzene may cause irritation of the eyes, <br />nose, and throat. It may also cause headaches, swelling around the <br />eyes, runny nose, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, weight loss', <br />and liver damage with yellow jaundice and death. Particles of <br />solid p-dichlorobenzene that come in contact with the eyes may* <br />cause pain. The solid material also produces a burning sensation <br />when held in contact with the skin. <br />The PEL for p-dichlorobenzene is 75 ppm in air. <br />21 <br />
