C <br />Trichloroethene TCE) <br />TCE is a colorless liquid with a sweet odor similar to chloroform. <br />Short --term inhalation exposure to TCE can cause drowsiness, <br />dizziness, headache, blurred vision, incoordination, mental <br />confusion, flushed skin, tremors, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and <br />cardiac arrhythmia. Irritation of the skin, mucuous membranes, and <br />eyes can also occur. <br />TCE is classified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a <br />Group B2 probable human carcinogen.' <br />The PEL for TCE is 50 ppm in air. <br />57 <br />
