customer is billed for the associated costs. <br />If the waste is a spill, or is not containerized such that <br />it may be transported, transfer station workers will mark <br />off the area with traffic cones and divert unloading <br />operations to a safe area. The customer is contacted by <br />the site foreman and informed of the situation. Since the <br />waste may not be transported, except by a licensed <br />hazardous waste hauler, the customer is informed accor- <br />dingly and that the customer will be billed for the <br />removal and disposal costs. The incident is recorded in <br />the load checker's log and the site incident log, and the <br />site foreman then follows the procedures listed in Section <br />IV, "Procedures for Handling Identified Hazardous Waste", <br />for performance of ulti--ate disposal. <br />If the customer refuses to accept responsibility for the <br />waste, or denies having disposed of the waste at the <br />site, then Step C, below, will be followed. Also, the <br />site foreman will report the incident to the Solid Waste <br />Officer for investigation and follow up. <br />C.
