INSPECTION
The California Integrated Waste Management Board (Board) staff
conducted an inspection of the Lovelace Transfer Station, Facility
No. 39-AA-0008, on April 24, 1990, pursuant to Division 30, Public
Resources Code (PRC) , Sections 43303, 43304 and 44105. The Board
inspector was Leandro Ramos, Waste Management Specialist.
The following violations of CCR were documented during the
inspections:
14 CCR 17483 - Station Security
14 CCR 17535 - Litter
In addition, areas of concern were noted with the following
sections of CCR:
14 CCR 17557 - Station Maintenance Program
14 CCR 17512 - Cleanup
14 CCR 17534 - Drainage Control
VIOLATIONS
14 CCR 17483 - STATION SECURITY
Citation•
Mr. Ramos observed a television set along with other wastes
dumped near the storm drainage pond (north side of the
station) . This facility needs adequate perimeter barrier on
the north side of the station to discourage unauthorized
access of persons or vehicles. Also the perimeter fence near
the southwest corner of the station (Between the hazardous
waste locker and blue container bin) is hanging loose and
creating space at the bottom which could be easily access by
unauthorized persons. I indicated this area to Felipe Lomas
(Site Supervisor) . The fence must be repaired to deter
unauthorized access.
2
