ComDliance Statements Transfer Station Standa4 Page 3 <br /> ............. <br /> �31 The station operations were creating a public nuisance for surround- <br /> ing property owners . <br /> 17532 Adequate measures to minimize the creation of dust at the station <br /> site were not taken by the operator. <br /> 17533 Adequate steps to control the problems were not <br /> taken by the site operator. <br />(:1:753)5 Litter and loose materials were not routinely collected and disposed <br /> of properly. Proper litter control equipment was not available at <br /> the station site. <br /> 17536 Excessive noise was not controlled at the station allowing for <br /> potential health hazards for persons at the station and to nearby <br /> residents . <br /> 17546 Transfer Station equipment was not adequate in type, capacity, and <br /> numbers to permit the site operation to meet the requirements of <br /> these standards . <br /> 17547 Adequate standby equipment or a list of firms or agencies which <br /> can supply .needed and adequate replacement units within a <br /> hour period was not provided to the San Joaquin Local Health <br /> District . <br /> 17548 Transfer vehicles were not adequately covered and constructed of <br /> durable and easily cleanable materials . <br /> 17550 A high standard of housekeeping was not evident in the maintenance <br /> of station equipment . <br /> 17556 Effective preventative maintenance procedures and programs for <br /> equipment and station facilites were not developed by the station <br /> operator. <br /> 17557 The station operator was not monitoring and promptly repairing <br /> deteriorated or defective conditions of site facilities and equipment . <br /> A safe area was not set aside for burning wastes received at the site. <br /> A means of extinguishing these burning wastes must be provided in <br /> this area. <br />
