CAC SECTION OBSERVATIONS RESULT <br /> 17496 Protection of Public and commercial users are C <br /> Users segregated into separate dumping <br /> areas. The loading pit has a four <br /> foot high cement barrier along both <br /> sides of it, except for a 15 foot gap <br /> where waste is pushed into transfer <br /> trailers. I did not observe any <br /> conditions that would jeopardize <br /> public safety. (See slide I .11) . <br /> 17497 Personnel Station employees are issued: Safety C <br /> Health and vests, hard hats, safety glasses and <br /> Safety gloves. They are required to wear <br /> hard sole shoes with leather uppers. <br /> Employee safety meetings are held <br /> every other Tuesday. (See slide <br /> 1.12) . <br /> TRANSFER/PROCESSING STATION OPERATIONS <br /> 17511 Confined The unloading areas were properly C <br /> Unloading confined for the number and type of <br /> vehicles at the site and were <br /> separated into commercial and public <br /> dumping zones. (See slides 1 . 13) . <br /> 17512 Cleaning I observed that east and west dumping C <br /> areas are alternately cleaned <br /> completely. The facility was <br /> constantly raked and swept by <br /> employees and alternate work program <br /> employees. My overall impression was <br /> that the facility was very clean. <br /> (See slide 1.12) . <br /> 17513 Solid Waste I observed that all waste is removed C <br /> Removal the day it arrives, except for loads <br /> received after 1530. This waste <br /> cannot be hauled out because the <br /> receiving landfill is a 1.5 hour round <br /> trip away and it closes at 1630. <br /> Waste received at the station between <br /> 1530 and 1700 is hauled out first the <br /> following morning.
