The proposed facility will serve the entire Central County Area and will be open to
the general public as well as commercial refuse collectors. Furthermore, the facility will be
designed and operated to assist the Central County Area jurisdictions to achieve their AB 939
solid waste diversion goals of 25% by 1995, and 50% by the year 2000.
Based on the above understanding, the Task Force has concluded that the proposed renovation
and expansion of the Lovelace Transfer Station is consistent with the goals and policies
established by the Task Force for San Joaquin County integrated waste management.
Any questions should be directed to Tom Horton, San Joaquin County Solid Waste Manager, at
Extension 83066.
Since ely,
s
Lo ee McGaughey, Chair
San Joaquin County Integrated
Waste Management Task Force
LM:MCS:vj
R.ITOMU E7=SILAV1ACH.LN
c: Mel Wingett, County Administrator
San Joaquin County City Managers
