Box 1810 Stockton, CA 95201 - rn Subject: PROPOSED RENOVATION AND EXPANSION iv o OF THE LOVELACE TRANSFER STATION iv j V' Dear Mr. Hirata: ` The San Joaquin County Integrated Waste Management Task Force has reviewed the proposed renovation and expansion of the Lovelace Transfer Station in accordance with Section 50000, Division 31, of the Public Resources Code. It is the understanding of the Task Force that San Joaquin County proposes to construct,permit, and operate a 1,300 ton per day transfer station on Lovelace Road, south of the City of Stockton. The proposed facility will serve the entire Central County Area and will be open to the general public as well as commercial refuse collectors. Furthermore, the facility will be designed and operated to assist the Central County Area jurisdictions to achieve their AB 939 solid waste diversion goals of 25% by 1995, and 50% by the year 2000. Based on the above understanding, the Task Force has concluded that the proposed renovation and expansion of the Lovelace Transfer Station is consistent with the goals and policies established by the Task Force for San Joaquin County integrated waste management.
