Duncan
Ag Plastics Recycle
Post Office Box 627
Shafter, California 93263
SUBJECT: SAN JOAQUXN COUNTY 1998 AGRICULTURAL
CHEMICAL CONTAINER COLLECTION SCHEDULE
Dear Mr. Duncan:
The San Joaquin County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste
Division, has finalized the 1998 agricultural chemical container
collection schedule for San Joaquin County. Nine collection days
have been scheduled during which growers may bring in their
pesticide containers for recycling at no charge:
FEBRUARY 2118198 - Tracy Materials Recovery Facility
2119198 - Lovelace Materials Recovery Facility
and Transfer Station
2120198 - North County Recycling Center and Sanitary
Landfill
JUNE 6117198 - Lovelace Materials Recovery Facility
and Transfer Station
6118198 - North County Recycling Center and Sanitary
Landfill
6119198 - Tracy Materials Recovery Facility
NOVEMBER 1114198 - North County Recycling Center and Sanitary
Landfill
1115198 - Tracy Materials Recovery Facility
1116198 - Lovelace Materials Recovery Facility
and Transfer Station
As we discussed previously, your current practice of arriving
prior to and chipping pesticide containers during the event days
is working well. Scheduling additional pick ups on location with
the aerial applicators has also been well received and is a
practice the County would like to see carried on. The County
continues to need the waste quantity information for each
material type generated from these recycling days within 30 days
of each event. A copy of the current form has been attached.
