1
U
Equipment
Onsite Electronics Recycling will provide all equipment necessary for the packaging of all
material. This will include, but not be limited to:
• Pallet Jack
• Palletse
• Wire Cages
• Shrink Wrap
• Personnel Protective Equipment
Recycling Management
Onsite Electronics Recycling will accept all electronics waste from the collection
program. Onsite dismantles and recycles all electronics received, and does not resell or
reuse any material. As required, all CRT's and circuit boards are removed from all
devices. The remaining components are separated and packaged for recycling. Further
detail on the recycling process is provided below:
All CRT glass is shipped to CRT Processing. Here, the glass is crushed to facilitate the
liberation of glass from all attached metal items (external steel band, cathode gun and
internal shadow screen). Following this process, the resulting glass is washed and sorted
and then shipped to Hankuk Electric Glass Co. Ltd. to be remanufactured into new CRT
glass.
Plastic/Shrinkwrap
Plastic and shrinkwrap from the electronics recycling is sorted by color, baled and
shipped through Superlink Plastics to recycling facilities. Plastics are shipped as a
commodity to reputable companies in China where all items are sorted by type (ABS,
HIPS, etc.), prior to being shredded. Though labor intensive, this method ensures that the
ground pellets are a high quality, consistent product desirable to manufacturers. Ground
pellets are then sent to manufacturers for use in new products.
Circuit Boards/Memory
Onsite ships all circuit boards either to Sipi Metals or QML for refining, then on to
Boliden Roonskar for recovery of copper, gold, silver, platinum group metals and other
elements.
OnSite Electronics 3 Electronics Recycling 2/19/2010
