® Training <br />Training will be provided to all staff prior to the first time they assist with appliance recycling. <br />This training will be provided by Onsite's President and Safety Trainer, Janice Oldemeyer. All <br />staff will receive additional training on an annual basis, during our annual training program. In <br />addition, staff who removes Freon from refrigerant -containing appliances will receive training as <br />a technician certified under Section 608 of the clean air act. <br />The following outlines the training to be provided to employees: <br />General Training <br />• Hazard Communications Standard (if hazardous materials are used) <br />• Material Safety Data Sheets (if hazardous materials are used) <br />• Universal Waste Regulations <br />• Personal Protective Equipment <br />• Work Area Hazard Assessment Training <br />• Contingency Plan Overview <br />• IIPP Overview <br />• Ergonomics and proper lifting <br />• Emergency and safety procedures including: <br />• Reporting procedures for fire, police, or medical emergencies' <br />• Evacuation procedures during an emergency <br />AOL <br />• Location of fire extinguishers <br />• Procedures and forms for reporting all accidents and incidents to their supervisors <br />• Procedures for reporting unsafe conditions or acts to their supervisors, and when <br />possible, taking action to correct unsafe conditions <br />• Location of first-aid kits and identification of first-aid certified employees <br />• Identification and explanation of all warning signs and labels used in their work <br />area <br />• Use and care of any personal protective equipment they are required to use <br />Appliance Recycling Training <br />• Identifying unit and refrigerant type <br />• Freon Removal Procedures <br />• Compressor Oil Removal Procedures <br />• Mercury Switch Identification and Removal <br />• Capacitor removal <br />• PCB Capacitor Identification <br />Training provided to personnel managing the materials requiring special handling: <br />• Material Packaging Requirements <br />• Labeling Procedures <br />• Department of Transportation training for proper labeling and transporting <br />® • CESQG Requirements <br />• Universal Waste Rules <br />OnSite Electronics 2 Appliance Recycling 2/19/2010 <br />
