C <br />:7 <br />L` <br />Exhibit 2 <br />Flow Chart for Load Checking Program <br />LOVELACETRANSFER STATION <br />LOAD CHECKING PROGRAM FLOW CHART <br />Refuse worker visually inspects unloading <br />Load checker sees unacceptable waste <br />before vehicle leaves site. <br />Customer is instructed that: <br />1) Site cannot accept waste. <br />2) Customer must remove waste from <br />site and dispose of at hazardous <br />waste disposal site. <br />3) For further information they may <br />contact the Environmental Health <br />Department at (209) 468-3420. <br />Unacceptable waste is found for <br />which responsible party is <br />County contracts with hazardous <br />waste hauler to have waste <br />removed and disposed of at <br />hazardous waste site. <br />Hazardous waste hauler removes <br />waste from the site within 90 days. <br />Customer is charged if appropriate <br />Lovelace Transfer Station <br />HHW Exclusion Program <br />April 2010 <br />Load checker finds unacceptable waste after <br />unloading which can be attributed to a vehicle has <br />left site. <br />Incident is documented in log. The customer is <br />contacted and informed that unacceptable waste <br />attributed to his load was documented at the site. <br />Waste is not containerized <br />adequately for moving on <br />site. <br />Station workers mark area <br />with traffic cones and keep <br />customers a safe distance <br />away. <br />Customer is told that the County <br />will contract with a hauler to have <br />this waste removed and disposed <br />of at a hazardous waste disposal <br />site at the owner's expense for <br />these services. <br />If the customer refuses to return <br />to the site and remove such <br />waste. <br />Waste is containerized <br />adequately for moving on <br />site. <br />Station workers label waste <br />container and use tractor <br />loader to move waste to <br />temporary storage area <br />Customer is told that: <br />1) They should return to the <br />site and remove such <br />waste within 48 hours. <br />2) For information regarding <br />proper disposal of such <br />waste they should contact <br />the Environmental Health <br />Dept. at (208) 468-3420 <br />Solid Waste Division <br />Public Works Department <br />San Joaquin County <br />
