0 <br />11 <br />0 <br />2.1 LOCATION <br />2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br />The Stockton Scavenger Transfer Station is located at 1240 Navy Drive <br />in Stockton, California. The transfer station operation is conducted <br />in the southeastern corner of the Stockton Scavenger Association's <br />Corporation Yard. <br />A vicinity map illustrating the location of the Stockton Scavenger <br />Corporation Yard is shown on Figure 1. As indicated on the vicinity <br />map, the Corporation Yard is located near the corner of Navy Drive and <br />Pershing Avenue and occupies approximately 3.9 acres. Directly adja- <br />cent and east of the Corporation Yard is an undeveloped parcel of <br />approximately 1.7 acres, owned by Stockton Scavenger and used as a <br />storage yard. Primary access to both the Corporation and storage <br />yards is along Navy Drive, with the majority of traffic travelling to <br />the site approaching from the east. <br />A map identifying zoning designations within a 1,000 -foot radius of <br />the site is shown on Figure 2. As can be seen in the figure, sur- <br />rounding land use is predominately light industrial, although some <br />medium -industrial, commercial, and residential uses do exist. <br />2.2 FACILITIES <br />2.2.1 FacilityCom lex <br />The Corporation Yard serves as the control center for all of the <br />Stockton Scavenger Association's operations.
