Initial plans at the expanded transfer station will be <br /> to receive 300 tons per day, however, to account for <br /> growth in the waste stream, and the potential for long- <br /> term, changes in the county's solid waste management <br /> plan, the expanded transfer station will be designed <br /> for a capacity of 1000 torts per-day. <br /> 5 . Expanding the tipping area from approximately 35 feet <br /> wide to approximately 100 feet . <br /> 6 . Installing a new roof canopy over the expanded tipping <br /> area to prevent precipitation from, contacting tipped <br /> refuse . <br /> 7 . Approximately 5 acres to the west of the station which <br /> is owned by Stockton Scavengers Association will be <br /> used for additional storage and office space . This <br /> area may not be used for waste handling activities . <br /> J. Hours of operation: <br /> Monday - Saturday 4 : 00 A.M. - 5 : 00 P.M. <br /> K. The local governing body has found the surrounding land use <br /> is compatible with the facility operation as required by <br /> Title 7 . 3 Government Code , Section 66796 . 41 (b(c) . <br /> 2 . Report of Station Informiation dated June, 1988 and <br /> revised July, 1988 . <br /> b. Land Use permit, City of Stockton No . 56-88 , dated June <br /> 20, 1989 . <br /> c . Fire Department permit No. 5497 issued January 31, 1978 <br /> by the City of Stockton. <br /> d. Stockton Scavenger Transfer Station Expansion, <br /> Environmental Imipact Report (EIR 5-88) , adopted on June <br /> 8 , 1989 , by the City of Stockton Planning Department . <br /> 3 . The following findings are required pursuant to California <br /> Government Code, Section 66796-32 : <br /> a. The station is consistent with the San Joaquin County <br /> solid waste management plan dated March, 1986 . <br /> b. The station is consistent with standards adopted by the <br /> California Waste Management Board (CWMB) . <br /> c . The City of Stockton has determined that this facility <br /> is consistent with the city general plan. <br />
