Maglionico, Engineering Coordinator <br />Re: Application for Disposal Site Exemption and Animal Feeding <br />of Food Processing at Tracy Transfer Station <br />Upon review of your application for disposal site exemption and <br />animal feeding of food processing this Department has declined <br />the application due to the following: <br />1. Since this activity constitutes a "change" in operation of <br />this facility, a solid waste facility permit revision for <br />the transfer station would be required. <br />2. The newly added 12.5 acres to the Transfer Station is not <br />permitted acreage for conducting solid waste activity and <br />needs to be incorporated into the transfer station permit. <br />To receive a permit revision the following processes must take <br />place: <br />Submit an application to planning to receive approval <br />for this activity at this site. Planning should make <br />determination as to whether CEQA is required. <br />Submit a Report of Station Information (RSI) amendment <br />to this Department and the CIWMB indicating the <br />proposed changes in operation. <br />Submit an application for a solid waste permit. <br />If you have any questions regarding this decision call Jeff <br />Carruesco, RENS, at (209) 468-3438, or Ed Padilla, Lead Senior <br />REHS, at (209) 468-3458.
