Construction &Demolition/Inert Debris Facility Report <br /> Tracy Material Recovery Facility and Transfer Station <br /> 30703 5. MacArthur Drive, Tracy, California 95377 <br /> The operator maintains several hydrants disbursed throughout the facility, as part <br /> of the onsite water supply and fire suppression system, which includes a 150,000 <br /> gallon water tank (fed by onsite wells) and pressurization equipment. Fire hoses, <br /> also used onsite for dust suppression purposes, are available to suppress small <br /> fires, should they occur. Process water used for dust or fire control or other <br /> operational requirements, and will be minimized only to what is necessary. <br /> Surface water runoff, including all process water and potential fire flow, is <br /> directed to onsite retention basins by use of drain pipes, grading design, and <br /> drainage ditches, where it is properly treated, if necessary, to eliminate potential <br /> environmental impacts. <br /> Front-end loaders and excavator are available to aid in the management of <br /> materials to combat fire or prevent its spread. All firefighting equipment is <br /> properly maintained and available on a continuous basis. <br /> The, facility operates under a fire prevention plan which has been developed in <br /> coordination with the Tracy Fire Department. <br /> Housekeeping [14 CCR 17416.1] <br /> The Tracy MRF & TS is inspected on a regular basis by facility personnel to <br /> Alk <br /> ensure that supplies; parts, containers, and equipment are properly stored or <br /> contained so that they do not present a hazard or nuisance. The operator will <br /> provide adequate housekeeping for the maintenance of facility equipment and. <br /> will minimize accumulations of fuel drums, inoperable equipment, parts, tires, <br /> scrap, and similar items. <br /> Lighting [14 CCR 17416.2] <br /> Lighting is provided at the Inert Processing Area and C&D Operations Area. <br /> Tracy MRF & TS will utilize temporary or permanent lighting units for processing <br /> the materials before or after daylight hours. Mobile equipment and vehicles using <br /> the site are equipped with lights for safe use at night or during times of limited <br /> visibility. <br /> Tracy MRF & TS may install additional 20-to-30-foot-high stadium lighting within <br /> the facility for security purposes that will enable them to process debris before <br /> and after daylight, within the operating hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Onsite <br /> processing buildings will contain interior lighting and may have exterior lighting <br /> affixed. The lighting will be facing downwards and inwards towards the facility <br /> and.will not point outwards and subject neighboring properties to glare. <br /> Equipment [14 CCR 17416.3] <br /> The equipment at the site is sufficient to meet all requirements of Articles 6.3 and <br /> ® 6.35 of the minimum standards addressed in this report, and is shown in Tables <br /> 11 through 13 below. <br /> 27 170.18 CDI FacReport 05081313 <br />
