PREFACE <br /> Because of the increased awareness regarding the potential health risks associated <br /> with the disposal of prohibited, hazardous, and polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) wastes <br /> at solid waste disposal or transfer facilities, Federal and State regulations have required <br /> random checks of incoming loads. <br /> This Load Checking Program has been prepared for Tracy Delta Solid Waste <br /> Management, Inc. (Tracy) for the Tracy Material Recovery & Transfer Facility (MRTF) in <br /> order to minimize potential harm to human health and the environment from hazardous <br /> substances or wastes. This document will serve as a statement of the Company's <br /> procedures to identify, segregate, handle, store, and dispose of hazardous substances <br /> or wastes encountered during facility operations. <br />
