c.
Hello Dave,
This is Ben Escotto with the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. We spoke on the phone
yesterday regarding the kennel plans. I found the documents that were submitted early last year regarding
the manure management and it answered almost all of my questions. There is still a couple questions I do
have. According to the manure management plan, "the dog food would be stored in closed containers in the
kitchen area." I am okay with that method. However according to the set of plans titled "Improvement Plans
for K9 Development," page 7 of 10 shows four areas labeled WM-1, WM-8, VM-9, and NS-8. These areas are
outside of the kennel building. WM-1 is described under the legend of that same page as "material delivery
and storage." What are these areas going to be used for? Will dog food be stored outside here? Or are these
areas going to be used only for the duration of the construction of the kennel?
Please contact me as soon as you can get clarification on these issues. Thank you.
Ben Escotto, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E.
