(Twining) conducted soil sampling at the project site from
April 15 to 21, 1996. Fields identified as 1A, 3A, 3B, 5, 6, 7A, and 7B were sampled.
The outside dimensions of each sampled field was measured using a vehicle odometer. The
field was then sub-divided into four sections of approximately equal area. Ten sampling
locations were marked off in each section. The sampling locations were approximately
equally spaced out throughout the section. The attached drawing provides a representation
of how each field was subdivided into sections, and the approximate sampling locations
within each section.
Soil samples were collected at each sampling location using a chrome-plated, steel soil
recovery probe. This device recovered 18-inch, continuous core, soil samples. Soil samples
were collected from the intervals between the ground surface to 18 inches below site grade
(BSG), and 18 to 33 inches BSG at each sampling location. The soil samples were placed
in bags and marked with the sample date, field number, and depth interval. Sample
identification was recorded on a chain-of-custody document and delivered to representatives
of the City of Tracy at the waste-water treatment facility upon the completion of each field's
sampling. Copies of the chain-of-custody documentation are attached.
Twining's professional services were performed consistent with generally-accepted
environmental assessment principles and practices in San Joaquin County at the time the
work is performed. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, either expressed or
implied.
CORPORATE OFFICE: MODESTO VISALIA BAKERSFIELD
2527 Fresno Street 4230 Kiernan Ave.Suite 105 2521 E.Valley Oaks Drive 3701 Pegasus Drive,Suite 124
Fresno,CA 93716 Modesto,CA 95256 Visalia,CA 93292-6710 Bakersfield.CA 93308
(209)268-7021 -Fax 268-7126 (209)545-1050-Fax 545-1147 (209)625-1712-Fax 625-1714 (805)393-5088•Fax 393-4643
