MacDonald Island Farms <br /> 1. Duration of dispensing dates. The rice hull ash will be <br /> delivered to the site of MacDonald Island Farms following <br /> the approval of exemption and the permitting of delivery by <br /> the San Joaquin Public Health Department. <br /> 2. Site operation hours and days. Normal working hours and days <br /> are : Monday - Saturday sun up till sun down. <br /> 3 . Type of dispensing site security. ( fences, gates, natural <br /> boundries. ) To gain entrance to the island, one needs to <br /> make an appointment. The bridge to the island is gated with <br /> a guard checking all approaching vehicles. <br /> 4. Type of ash applied to the site. The ash which is to be <br /> delivered to the site is the rice hull ash . A recent <br /> analysis of the rice hull ash is enclosed. <br /> 5. Estimate total quantity of ash applied in tons per day and <br /> per acre. Between 20-30 tons of rice hull ash will be <br /> spread per acre, usually covering 100 acres a day. It is <br /> estimated that 2500 ton of ash will be required. <br /> 6. A work plan for applying ash to land. Rice hull ash will <br /> be delivered and piled awaiting crop harvesting. The <br /> material will be spread by truck and tilled into the land <br /> by plow and disc to a depth of 6 inches to 2 feet. <br /> 7. Depth to ground water and soil types on site. Based on <br /> digging, ground water is available at 6 feet. A soil <br /> analysis of the area to receive the ash is provided. <br />
