AREAS SHOWN IN THE MAF` 3 DIAGRAM. <br /> THE UTILIZATION OF THE STORAGE PIT FOR ENS I LEMENT PRODUCES HIGH QUALITY <br /> FEED FOR LIVESTOCK. THE ORGANIC MATERIALS ARE OF LOWER MOISTURE CONTENT <br /> (i . e. POMACE LESS THAN BDl MOISTURE) AND THIS IN ITSELF ALLOWS FOR BETTER <br /> ® FEED PRODUCT. THE ORGANICS REMOVED FROM THE PIT ARE HAULED OFF SITE AS <br /> PERMIT CONDITIONS REQUIRE. ORGANIC MATERIALS OF THIS CONSISTENCY WOULD <br /> BE STORED IN THE SILAGE PIT DEPICTED IN THE MAP 3 DIAGRAM. <br /> ITEM B -- MATERIALS WHICH CONTAIN NO FREE MOISTURE SHALL BE STOPED IN <br /> SILAGE PIT. PIT WILL BE PROPERLY LINED SCI AS TO PROTECT GROUNDWATER <br /> CONDITIONS. THE CONTOUR INTERVALS IN MAP 3 INDICATE THAT THE SILAGE P.T.T <br /> IS 200 FEET ABOVE THE LOCAL WATER TABLE AND THIS COMBINED WITH THE LINING <br /> OF THE PIT WILL FURTHER HELP PROTECT LOCAL GROUNDWATER. <br /> THE COVERING OF THE PIT ALONG WITH THC=:: STORAGE OF LOW MOISTURE MATERIAL <br /> WILL ALSO DETER THE CHANCE OF ODOR AND VECTOR NUISANCES. <br /> THE AVERAGE AND MAXIMUM AMOUNTS TO BE STORED WOULD NEVER ATTEMPT TO EXCEED <br /> PIT CAPACITY. THE SILAGE PIT HAS A CAPACITY OF 13, 000 0 YARDS AND SEASONAL <br /> AVERAGE NEEDS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO EXCEED 85% OF MAXIMUM PIT CAPACITY. <br />
