Roberts Road ENV/RpNMEWAL <br /> Stockton, CA. 95206 NEAP T <br /> PERMIT/SERV!CES H <br /> 1 . DISPOSAL DATES: June 1 - October 15 <br /> 2. TURNOVER TIME FOR FEEDING: Not used for feeding. <br /> 3. SITE SECURITY: None required. <br /> 4. TYPE OF WASTE: Soil is washed from tomatoes during a water unloading <br /> operation prior to processing at the Stockton Factory of Heinz U.S.A. , <br /> 2800 South California Street. The soil is settled from the flume water <br /> and collected as a heavy mud with approximately 80% water content. <br /> 5• QUANTITY: Peak quantities will be 15 wet tons (3 dry tons) per day in <br /> 16 ton haul boxes or approximately one box per day. This equates to <br /> 5 tons per acre per day during the peak of the harvest season. Total <br /> quantities will be 1300 tons over a season of approximately 100 days, <br /> or a total of 430 tons per acre per year. <br /> 6. WORK PLAN: Boxes will be dumped near the area where speading is to be <br /> done. The material will then be spread over the land surface using a <br /> tractor pulled scraper. Spreading will normally occur within 4 hours <br /> for loads delivered during daylight hours and will occur the following <br /> morning if loads must be delivered at night. After spreading, th�d <br /> -I*M,dwi l l be disked u4t44--&-y, normally 6 to 8 times over a four day period. <br /> 7. CONTINGENCY PLANS: <br /> (a) If access to the described land application area is not possible, <br /> an alternate area can be provided within Parcel NO. 161-150-03-2 <br /> for temporary use. <br /> (b) If hauling to the site is not possible, Heinz will proceed to lease <br /> additional boxes from Delta Container Company or other local vendors <br /> to provide storage for up to 5 days. <br /> (c) Another option is for Heinz to make an arrangement with the City of <br /> Stockton to allow short term discharge of all or a portion of the <br /> mud to the City Sewer. <br />
