Tank and Secondary Containment Assessment Irerracon
Lustre-Cal Facility Lodi, CA
April 22, 2019, Revised April 30, 2019 Terracon Project No. NA197014
Tank/System Identification Information:
The active waste water treatment facility located at the Lustre-Cal site is used primarily to treat
industrial processing water, prior to it being released into the City of Lodi storm drain system.
In addition, Lustre-Cal has installed three hazardous waste storage tanks to store industrial
process waste liquids. These tanks are monitored and the contents pumped and disposed of
as needed based on available capacity.
The active treatment site and hazardous waste storage tanks consists of the following and is
illustrated below as Figure 1:
O Pump Control Unit
O (2) 2hp Pumps
O (2) 330 Gallon Waste Water Capture Tanks and Secondary Containment (T1 and T2)
O Caustic Neutralizer Tank (30% NaOH) (T6)
O Acidic Neuralizer Tank (36% H2SO4) (T7)
O (3) 230 Gallon Mixer Tanks (T3, T4 and T5)
O Associated PH Control Panel
O (3) 540 Gallon Hazardous Waste Tanks and Secondary Containment (T8, T9 and T10)
O Concrete Reservoir for Secondary/Tertiary Containment
F
T8 T9 TIO V4
I
I
I
540 Gal
70"x4g"Ilia.
Polyethylene
Tanks 3"
Sch 80 I
austic&Acid Metering PVC
Pumps for Neutralization
I
30%
NaOH
y 211P
Td Pump
230 Gal 0
4'x3'Dia. 3" fi7 fl 2" V3
`J Polyethylene ZSCh
P1VUI
Ta s
2..
VI Sch 80
330 Gal 330 al PVC
T3 T4 TS T1 T2
L—— —— —— —--- — —————————————— —— ——J
2HP—
Pum—p Pump Control
z
Figure 1 —Diagram showing the waste treatment facility and hazardous waste storage tank layout.
The tanks and secondary containment of main concern, and those that are being primarily
assessed in this document, are the two above mentioned waste water capture tanks and the
Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable
