See drawing "C" for proposed exca-
vation p acement of newly excavated soil .
There will be approximately 97 to 11.7 cubic yards of soil excavated, depending
on depth of excavation. See drawing "C" for plannedjlexcavation to 15 feet deep and
18 feet dee. We will be prepared to take as many samples .as the SJLHD deems neces-
sary. —plan t take bottom samples from the excavated area as shown in drawing
which also sh ws proposed sampling locations of' the previously removed stock-
'led soil and the site of the newly excavated soil stockpile area. We will test
forL
H (see ihlighted area of the attached copy of Tank Plan Review Checklist-
MinVer' cation Lab Analyses) . If water is encountered, we will be prepared
ater samples and test as requested.
Hopefully the sample result levels are low enough to allow remediation of
the excavated soil on site.
If the level of contaminates show too high] for remediation, the soil will
be transported to a proper hazardous waste facility for disposal , namely Kettleman
City, or possibly a Class 2 site, such as Forward, Inc. If the soil is removed
from the site, it shall be transported under proper licensure. Any manifests
l-;_produced during transfer shall have a copy provided to SJLHD within 30 days.
i
6. Timing: Sampling could be scheduled within one week':following your review of
this work plan. Advance inspection notice of at least 48 hours will be given ?
to SJLHD for resampling inspection.
