Annual Ground Water Monitoring Report - Third Quarter 2009
ERNIE'S GENERAL STORE
4407 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr. Ernest P. Giannecchini,Advanced GeoEnviromnental, Inc. (AGE) prepared
this annual report for the property located at 4407 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California. The
scope of work included performance of the annual ground water monitoring event and preparation
of this report. The site and the surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1. On-site structures and
monitoring well locations are illustrated in Figure 2. Site background information is summarized in
Appendix A,which includes historical soil analytical tables.
Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines established by the California Regional
Water Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region (Regional Board) for the investigation of
underground storage tank(UST)sites and the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
(SJCEHD) for the sampling of ground water monitoring wells.
Note that previous reports have referred to the construction of wells MW-1 through MW-4 as
screened from 60 feet below surface grade (bsg) to 80 feet bsg; however, the actual depth of well
MW-1 through MW-4 is 85 feet bsg with a screen interval of 65 feet bsg to 85 feet bsg. Well
construction details are summarized in Table 1.
2.0. PROCEDURES
On 29 September 2009,the annual groundwater monitoring event was conducted utilizing site wells
MW-1 through MW-5; wells MW-1 through MW-4 were sampled. Well MW-5 did not contain
sufficient water to collect a ground water sample. Monitoring was performed in accordance with
AGE's standard monitoring and sampling procedures, provided in Appendix B. No exceptions to
AGE's standard procedures were noted. Field data and logs are provided in Appendix C.
3.0. FINDINGS
Groundwater elevation, flow direction and gradient were determined from field data collected on29
September 2009.Contaminant-impact to ground water was quantified by laboratory analytical data.
At the time of the September 2009 sampling event:
• Depths to ground water ranged between 76.32 feet (MW-3) below the tops of the well
casings (btoc) and 76.65 feet (MW-4) btoc (Table 2). Ground water elevations at the site
ranged between 43.25 feet(MW-2)below North American Vertical Datum(NAVD88)and
43.73 feet(off-site well MW-5)below NAVD.
Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc.
