Lori Duncan [EH]
From: Art Deicke [adeicke@advgeoenv.com]
Sent: Friday, April 09, 2010 3:19 PM
To: Lori Duncan [EH]
Cc: rmarty@advgeoenv.com
Subject: Ernie's GS Interim Remediation System Installation Status Update#4
Lori,
Last week, we reported that PG&E had not yet made a site visit to determine the actual build-out of the
electrical lines servicing Ernie's General Store. We also discussed several contingencies for providing
power.
On Tuesday (4/6), Thomas and an engineer from PG&E, Carr Electrical, Mr. Giannecchini and myself
met at the site to evaluate the actual build-out of the electrical lines servicing the building. It was
determined by the engineer, based upon engineering maps and that two separate parallel sets of
service wiring enters the building's electrical box through a single conduit. According to PG&E
representatives, that is evidence that the servicing lines are laid in native material.
We are evaluating two primary options. The first option is to upgrade the electrical service as planned.
The second option is to provide only the minimum required electrical service for the electrical
requirements of the SVE system. Carr Electric will provide cost estimates to AGE. AGE will submit a
cost pre-approval request to the USTCF. Carr Electric stated their cost estimates will be provided to
AGE by the end of next week. The secondary option is use a generator as was discussed in Update #3.
The fence for the system enclosure was completed on Monday (4/5).
Best regards,
Art
Arthur Deicke
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
Stockton • Santa Rosa • Monterey •Brea • Spokane
1-800-511-9300
adeicke@advgeoenv.com
www.advgeoenv.com
This email message is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s)and may contain confidential and privileged information.
Any unauthorized review, use, disclosure or distribution of this email/fax is prohibited.if you are not the untended recipient.
please contact the sender by email/fax and destroy all paper and electronic copies of the original message.
4/14/2010
