IQuarterly Report - Fourth Quarter 2003 ERNIE'S GENERAL STORE ' 4407 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION At the request ofMr Ernest P Giannecchim,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared ' this quarterly report for the property located at 4407 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California The scope of work included performance of a quarterly ground water monitoring event and preparation I of this report The site and the surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 On-site structures and monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Site Background information is summarized in Appendix A 2.0 PROCEDURES Monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 were monitored and sampled on 03 December 2003 Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines established by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites • 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION I The depth to ground water in all four monitoring wells was measured from the top of each well casing to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solmst water level meter Ground water elevation in each well was calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevation (Table 1) After water levels were measured, approximately S gallons of water a minimum of 3 casing-water I volumes per well) were purged from the monitoring wells using a Watera inertia pump with dedicated tubing Ground water temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in Appendix B Purged water was stored on-site in properly labeled,55-gallon Department of Transportation(DOT)- approved drums 2 2 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES Water samples were collected from each purged well using the dedicated Waterra tubing after allowing the wells to achieve a minimum 80%recovery of the pre-purge water volume Each water sample was transferred into three 40-ml VOA vials containing 0 5 ml 18% hydrochloric acid as a Isample preservative After collection, the samples were properly labeled, placed In a chilled . container and transported under chain-of-custody to Cal Tech Environmental Laboratories(CTEL), Advanced CeoEnvironnsental,Inc I
