INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Mr Ernest P Giannecchini,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared <br /> this monitoring well installation and quarterly report for the property located at 4407 East Waterloo <br /> Road, Stockton, California The scope of work included the installation and development of four <br /> ground water monitoring wells, one angled soil boring advanced 25 degrees from vertical, <br /> performance of a quarterly ground water monitoring event and preparation of this report The site <br /> and the surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 On-site structures and monitoring well locations <br /> are illustrated on Figure 2 Site Background information is summarized in Appendix A <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Fieldwork was performed in accordance with guidelines established by the Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST) <br /> sites <br /> 2 1 MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION, DEVELOPMENT AND SURVEY <br />' Four ground water monitoring wells (MW 1 through MW4) were installed on 28, 29, and 30 July <br /> 2003, developed on 31 July 2003 and surveyed on 26 September 2003 One angled soil boring [135 <br />' (7-3-03)] was also advanced on 30 July 2003 <br />' 2 1 1 Drilling and Sampling <br /> Four pilot borings for monitoring wells MW1 through MW4 and one angled soil boring,B5 (7-30- <br /> 03) were advanced using a CME-75HT drill rig, equipped with 8 25-inch diameter hollow-stem <br /> augers The drill rig and three-man crew were supplied by Mitchell Drilling Environmental Auger <br /> returns generated by drilling were containerized in properly labeled DOT-approved model 17H <br />' 55-gallon drums and stored on-site <br /> Soil samples were collected ahead of the drill bit using a California modified split-spoon sampler <br />' loaded with three pre-cleaned 2-inch by 6-inch brass sleeves The samples were collected from <br /> monitoring well pilot borings MW1, MW2, MW3, MW4 and B5 (7-30-03) at five-foot intervals, <br /> beginning at 5 feet below surface grade (bsg), using a 140-poured hammer to advance the sampler <br />' The number of blows required to advance the sampler over each 6-inch increment of the 18-inch <br /> . sampling interval was recorded on the boring logs Sampling equipment was washed man Alconox <br /> solution and double rinsed with water prior to each sampling run to minimize cross-contamination <br /> 1 <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
