i <br /> I31 October 2003 <br /> • AGE-NC Project No 01-0839 <br /> Page 3 of 7 <br /> I2 15 Monitoring Well Development <br /> On 31 July 2003, monitoring wells MW 1 through MW4 were developed utilizing a stainless steel <br /> Ihand bailer and an Inertia pump Ground water was purged from each monitoring well until ground <br /> water was visually sediment free Between six and seven gallons of water were removed from the <br /> wells Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity were measured at regular intervals during <br /> purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included In Appendix C Purged <br /> water was stored on-site in properly labeled, 55-gallon Department of Transportation (DOT)- <br /> approved drums <br /> 2 16 Well Head Survey <br /> On 26 September 2003, a California state-licensed survey engineer from Mid Coast Engineers <br /> surveyed the elevation at the top of the well casing of momtonng wells MW1 through MW4 to the <br /> nearest 0 01-foot relative to City of Stockton Bench Mark#191, surveyed at 32 40 feet above mean <br /> sea level(MSL) The results of the monitoring well survey are contained in Table 1 The surveying <br /> • report(Mid Coast Engineers) is presented in Appendix D <br /> 2 2 QUARTERLY WELL MONITORING PROCEDURES <br /> 2 2 1 Well Monitoring and Purging <br /> IOn 04 August 2003, the depth to ground water in all four monitoring wells was measured from the <br /> top of each well casing to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter Ground water <br /> Ielevation in each well was calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the <br /> surveyed casing elevation(Table 1) <br /> After water levels were measured,between 6 75 and 7 0 gallons of water(a minimum of 3 casing- <br /> water volumes per well)were purged from monitoring wells MW 1 through MW4 using dedicated, <br /> disposable plastic bailers Groundwater temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular <br /> intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in <br /> Appendix C Purged water was stored on-site in properly labeled, 55-gallon Department of <br /> Transportation (DOT)-approved drums <br /> 2 2 2 Collection and Analysis of Ground Water Samples <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
