This investigation is being <br /> completed in general accordance with the authorized scope of services outlined in the signed <br /> ' proposal number 30514 dated February 14, 2012. <br /> I Site Description <br /> ' The subject property, which consists of commercial building, is located on the east side of North <br /> Wilson Way in a mixed commercial and residential area of Stockton, California (Figure 2). The <br /> property totals approximately 0.63 acre and is improved with a one-story building totaling <br /> ' approximately 6,100 square feet. The building is of slab-on-grade construction, without <br /> basement or sub-grade areas. The subject property building is currently vacant (most recently <br /> occupied as a Hollywood Video store). In addition to the subject property building, the property <br /> ' is improved with asphalt-paved parking areas and associated landscaping. <br /> The property is at an elevation of about 18 feet above mean sea level. The nearest water body <br /> ' is the Stockton Deep Water Channel located 1.13 mile to the southwest. <br /> II Background and Purpose <br /> A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) was performed by AEI as detailed in a report <br /> dated March 5, 2012 (AEI Project Number 303839). According to the Phase I ESA, a previous <br /> limited Phase II Assessment had been conducted at the subject property in 1997 by Kleinfelder <br /> regarding the former gasoline service station identified on the property from 1927 to 1952 and <br /> auto repair, bodyworks and/or tire service from 1942 to 1977. Kleinfelder's investigation <br /> included three (3) borings to 50 feet below ground surface (bgs) for the collection of soil and <br /> ' groundwater samples.
