05 February 1999 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 99-0559 <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br /> 33 SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS <br /> A total of up 10 soil samples will be collected from the excavation will be submitted for laboratory <br /> analysis Following State of California Regional Water Quality Board, Tri-Regional Board <br /> recommendations, soil samples will be collected from the base and each side wall of the "new" <br /> excavation at a minimum interval of every 20 linear feet Soil samples will be collected from the <br /> base of the excavation at a minimum of one sample for every 400 square feet of excavation area Soil <br /> samples will also be collected from the stockpiled soil to determine disposal options Field <br /> procedures for collection of soil samples are presented in Section 4 2 <br /> Selected soil samples will be analyzed by a State of California Department of Health Services <br /> (DHS)-certified laboratory for the following constituents <br /> • TPH-g by EPA Method 8015 Modified/5030, <br /> • BTEX with MTBE by EPA Method 8020, and <br /> Samples collected from the former waste oil UST location will also be analyzed for <br /> • Oil and Grease by EPA Method 413 1 <br /> • Five LUFT metals by EPA Method 6010/7421 <br /> Laboratory reports for soil analyses, testing methods, laboratory duality assurance/quality control <br /> (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report with <br /> findings and recommendations <br /> 34 REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared <br /> presenting the findings of the soil removal activities The report will include a description of the <br /> work performed and the results of the sampling and analysis Conclusions and applicable <br /> recommendations will be included in the report The report will be in a format acceptable to the <br /> PHS-EHD and CVRWQCB, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Registered Geologist <br /> 4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
