i
n
I
03 April 2006
• AGE-NC Project No 99-0559
• The ground water remediation system operation successfully removed 346 lbs of TPH-g, 62
lbs of benzene and 77 lbs of MTBE were extracted from ground water during the fourth
quarter 2005 Since the initiation of the ground water extraction/treatment system in May
2003, a total of 6,505 lbs of TPH-g, 263 4 lbs of benzene and 493 lbs of MTBE have been
extracted from ground water
4.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings and conclusions in this report, AGE recommends the following
• Installation of additional, shallow- to intermediate-depth ground water extraction wells on
the southern and western margins of the site, in order to minimize the lateral migration of
petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground water towards the south and west
• Continued operation of the ground water extraction system in order to minimize the lateral
migration of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground water
i
5.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number of
available data points (e g ground water samples), and subsurface conditions may vary away from
these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional
interpretations, opinions and recommendations contained in this report
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
