14 September 2004 <br /> • AGE-NC Project No 99-0559 <br />' Page 5 of 8 <br /> below MSL, the ground water elevation from wells in this hydrologic units decreased 4 3 feet since <br />' the last quarterly monitoring event Ground water was Inferred to be flowing toward the north at a <br /> hydraulic gradient of 0 005 ft/ft (Figure 7) <br /> 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLE ANALYSIS <br />' Twenty-four ground water samples were analyzed by CTEL for the chemical constituents referenced <br /> in Section 2 2 The following is a summary of the analytical results for each hydrologic unit <br />' HU 1 and H 2 <br /> U <br />' TPH-g was detected in all samples except MW-8A at concentrations ranging between <br /> 14,000 micrograms per liter (µg/1) in sample MW-5A to 410,000 lig/1 in sample MW-2 <br />' BTEX compounds were detected in all samples except MW-5A at maximum concentrations of <br /> 48,000 µg/1 benzene, 57,000 µg/1 toluene, 3,500 µg/1 ethylbenzene and 19,000 µg/1 total xylenes in <br /> sample MW-1 Significant concentrations of BTEX were also detected in the sample from well <br /> MW-7A, near the former UST area <br />' MTBE was detected in all samples except MW-8A at a maximum concentration of 300,000 µg/1 <br /> (MW-7A) ETBE was detected in samples MW-1 through MW-4, MW-5A,MW-6A, and MW-7A <br /> at a maximum concentration of 350 gg/1 (MW-7A) TBA was detected in samples MW-4, MW-6A <br />' and MW-7A at a maximum concentration of 4,100µg/l (MW-7A) TAME was detected in samples <br /> MW-4, MW-5A and MW-6A at a maximum concentration of 300 µg/1 (MW-4) 1,2-DCA was <br /> detected in samples MW-1 through MW-4, and MW-7A at a maximum concentration of 90 µg/1 <br />' (MW-2) <br /> HU3 and HU4 <br />' TPH-g was detected in samples MW-5B, MW-613 and MW-713 at concentrations of 240 µg11, <br /> 690µg/1 and 5,600 µg/1,respectively Various BTEX compounds were detected in samples MW-5B <br /> through MW-8B at maximum concentrations of 1,600 µg/1 benzene, 2,000 µg/1 toluene, 110 µg/1 <br />' ethylbenzene and 550 gg/1 xylenes, in sample MW-7B MTBE was detected in samples MW-5B <br /> through MW-713 at 240 µg11, 200 µg/1 and 140 gg/l, respectively <br /> I <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
