1
10• April 2003
' AGE-NC Project No 99-0559
' bubbles were not present in the vials after filling and capping Groundwater sample containers were
properly labeled, placed in a chilled container and transported under chain-of-custody protocol to
CalTech Environmental Laboratories(CTEL),a California Department of Health Services-certified
' laboratory, for analysis The ground water samples were analyzed for the following
• Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) in accordance with EPA
' Method 8015 Modified,
• Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene (BTEX) and the fuel additives tertiary butanol
' (TBA), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tert-butyl ether (ETBE), tert-amyl methyl ether
(TAME), methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), methanol, ethanol, ethyl-dibromide (EDB)
and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) in accordance with EPA Method 8260B
' 23 FREE PRODUCT REMOVAL
During the quarter, approximately 1 5 feet of free-product was recovered in well MW-2 using a
disposable bailer After removal, the water and free product were stored on-site in 55-gallon DOT
H-17 storage drums The removal was performed in a accordance with California Underground
Storage Tank Regulations,Article 5, Section 2655
3.0. FINDINGS
Ground water elevation, flow direction and gradient were determined from field data collected
during January 2003,the contaminant impact to ground water was quantified by laboratory analysis
of the ground water samples
3 1 GROUND WATER ELEVATION AND GRADIENT
The elevation of ground water in each monitoring well was calculated by subtracting the depth to
ground water from the surveyed casing elevation, current and historical ground water elevation
results are provided in Table 1 Each ground water elevation is grouped according to the HU or HUs
that the well samples,on the assumption that the elevation will reflect hydrostatic conditions within
[ the sampled HUs
IAdvanced GeoEnvirOnmental,Inc
