This work is under direction and approval of the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department. Mr, Michael Infurna of the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department is overseeing environmental assessment activities and can be
reached at (209) 468-3454-
Installation of a monitor well would involve drilling a soil boring to approximately 85 feet below
ground surface (bgs) and constructing a well in the boring according to the attached well
construction diagram. Drilling would cause a minor inconvenience, taking approximately one
day(8am to 5pm) to complete. All drilling related materials and equipment will be removed from
the drill location at the end of the day. With exception to the monitor well vault, the drill site will
be restored to its original condition. The traffic-rated well vault will be 12 inches in diameter
with a 6-inch concrete collar suitable for bus traffic.
Prior to drilling, Blaes Environmental will notify USA Dig Alert to locate utilities and notify the
Stockton Unified School District of the scheduled drill date at least one week before drilling.
Precaution to avoid hitting underground utilities will also include hand digging the boring to 4.5
to 5 feet bgs prior to drilling. In addition, the Stockton Unified School District can provide
guidance to clear the proposed drill location of underground utilities not marked by USA Dig
Alert.
1433 North Third Avenue,Phoenix,Arizona 85003
Telenlione!
