Wilson Way
Stockton, CA 95205
PHS-EHD has recently reviewed the "December 1994 Quarterly Report" as submitted by Sota Environmental on
January 10, 1995 and has the following comments.
The depth to groundwater for the period covering the last quarterly monitoring interval has risen to 71-72 feet
below ground surface ('bgs) and now is above the screened interval of 75'bgs for MW-1,-2, and -3. Except for
MW-3, there have been sharp decreases in the TPH-G concentrations for the other five wells for this period.
PHS-EHD is concerned that the wells may not be allowing the floating constituents to enter the wells and as
such, an accurate representation of the groundwater condition is not being presented.
If this pattern continues and water consistently stays above the screened interval of the wells, PHS-EHD will
require additional wells to be installed to replace the affected wells.
PHS-EHD has recently approved a workplan for further investigation both on and offsite. Permits will be issued
upon receipt and processing of the additionally requested items in correspondence dated February 3, 1995.
Please direct your submittals and any concerns you may have to Michael Infurna at (209) 468-3454.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Michael Infurna, Senior REHS r Diane .
