Additional monitoring wells need to be installed to
determine the lateral and vertical extent of contamination in the soil and the groundwater.
Additional measurements for gradient determination and sampling of the existing wells
should be done to determine placement of additional monitoring wells.
Pursuant to Section 2652(d) of the Underground Storage Tank Regulations (California Code
of Regulations, Title 23, Subchapter 16) a quarterly monitoring report shall be submitted to
Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division and Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) until the investigation and cleanup of the site is
deemed adequate. Reports are due by the 15th of the month following the quarter's end
and shall include:
-status of investigation and cleanup activities including the results of all
investigations completed to date;
-proposed continuing or next phase of investigation;
-method of cleanup proposed or implemented, schedules for the completion
of the investigation of the site and remediation;
-method and location of disposal of the released hazardous substance and any
contaminated soil, groundwater or surface water;
-manifest required for transport of hazardous substances;
-monitoring well data including groundwater elevation, pH, conductivity,
gradient;
-analytical results of groundwater or soil sampling; and
-site map showing the "zero line" of contamination, if known, and changes in
the above measurements over the last quarter.
A Division of bn Joaquin County Health care serv+ccs
