In October, ATC became Cardno ATC at the beginning of October. So we're now owned by Australians! That doesn't really impact our day-to-day operations,though. At the referenced facility, I heard from Alex Flores and Jeanne Homsey(in our Modesto office)that you were interested in checking out the remediation system. This is great timing, because I have been meaning to reach out to you to follow up on our Groundwater Monitoring and Remediation Progress Reports (January-June 2012) dated July 12, 2012 for two main reasons: 1. The oxidizer operated from January 18 thru February 12, 2012, when it was shut down based on the influent vapor concentrations and the post-rebound laboratory analytical results which indicated that the residual vadose-zone adsorbed phase TPH-g does not appear to be amenable to removal via VE system operations. The Solleco 250 ECAT oxidizer hasn't operated since February, and we would like to obtain your consent prior to decommission and removing it from this location. 2. The referenced report included a request for the LOP to evaluate the site for low-threat case closure (under SWRCB Resolution No. 2012-0016). The referenced report also included the results of additional investigations (conducted in April 2012)that were intended to support the conclusion that the most readily recoverable fraction of secondary source area has been removed. 3. Remediation efforts since February 12 have been limited to air sparge operations which continue based on the post-rebound laboratory analytical results that demonstrated no significant accumulation of vapor phase TPH-g and/or BTEX in the vicinity of VE-1A, VE-113 and/or VE-6(proximate to MW-313).
