Wilson Way,
Stockton.
dichlorodiflouromethane (Freon 12) was detected in the well water sample June 24,
2009. EPA method 524.2 was used to detect 0.78 ug/I of this chemical. Currently
NO MCL is listed for this product and I'm trying to ascertain it's source.
you know anything about this chemical? break down product in 1 ,2-DCA
degradation? No surface source is apparent.
I've got a message into the DEA to see if this chemical is used in some illegal drug
(meth?) production.
we'll be monitoring the well for more sampling.
can you fellows rule out either of the UST sites as a source? as in sample your
onsite MWs for this COC?
not on your site could be used to support possible future claims that Harry's or Ll-
Haul is the source???
get back to me with your comments please.
Michael J.
