Mae*Environmental Management Inc 2nd Qtr 2005 Groundwater Monitonng Report
002-70950-04 U-Haul4709-50
I
I
4.0 CONCLUSIONS
Blacs Environmental conducted the groundwater monitoring and sampling event for the second quarter
2005 at U-Haul Facility #709-50 in Stockton, California on June 13, 14, and 15, 2005 Average
groundwater levels recorded in June 2005 were approximately three feet higher than those recorded
1 during the March 2005 monitoring event Groundwater was not encountered in the "A"horizon
11 I
1
I
Based on the groundwater level measurements from selected U-Haul "B casing" wells, the groundwater
surface map for June 2005 indicates a relatively flat gradient across the site with a general flow direction
1I
to the north
Analytical results of groundwater samples collected in June 2005 from both "B" and "C" casing wells
indicated the presence of hydrocarbons in groundwater beneath the U-Haul Facility Analytical results of
groundwater samples collected from the "B" casing wells revealed that the main portion of the U-Haul
hydrocarbon plume is located around wells MW-2B, MW-3B, and MW-4B while the plume across the
Former Harry's Auto site is centered around their well MW-1 Analytical results of groundwater samples
collected from the "C" casing wells revealed higher hydrocarbon concentrations near U-Haul well MW-
4C and Harry's appears Auto well MW-1D Based on the June 2005 analytical results, to be
limited communication between the "B" and "C" horizons The LNAPL such as TPH and BTEX, are
generally concentrated in the "B" horizon while the heavier DNAPL such as 1,2 DCA, has penetrated
more extensively into the "C"horizon
 9
IJ
I_I
