I Blaes Envuonmental Management Inc 3'n Qtr 2003 Groundwater Monitanng Report <br /> 002-70950-04 U-Haul#709-50 <br /> i <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> i <br /> IThis report presents a summary of activities and results of the groundwater monitoring program <br /> conducted during the third quarter of 2003 at U-Haul Facility #709-50 located at 2701 North Wilson <br /> iWay in Stockton, California The report presents a background of site conditions and a brief summary of <br /> the procedures and results for the most recent groundwater monitoring event conducted on September 8 <br /> ithrough 11, 2003 The groundwater monitoring event was coordinated with Ground Zero Analysis, <br /> consultant for Former Harry's Auto Mart, to identify groundwater conditions in the site area <br /> i1 1 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> IU-Haul Facility 709-50 is located at 2701 North Wilson Way (on the southwest corner of the intersection <br /> of North Wilson Way and Sanguinetti Lane) in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The site is situated in a <br /> icommercial area and is currently used as an equipment storage and rental facility The site is generally <br /> flat with a slight grade to the southeast The site elevation is approximately 21 feet above mean sea <br /> I• level A general site plan is included as Figure 2 <br /> i1 2 PROJECT AUTHORIZATION <br /> In January 1999, Blaes Environmental Management, Inc (Blaes Environmental) was contracted by <br /> IAmerco Real Estate Company/IJ-Haul International (U-Haul) to conduct a soil and groundwater <br /> remediation program at the site The remediation program included developing a Remedial Action Plan <br /> I (RAP), conducting remedial testing, and performing quarterly groundwater monitoring and reporting <br /> Prior to initiating remedial activities at the site, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> iDepartment (SJCEHD) requested several additional groundwater monitoring events and site <br /> characterization activities to confirm the concentration of petroleum hydrocarbons and to further <br /> Ievaluate the extent of the hydrocarbon plume in groundwater at the site <br /> i <br /> I <br /> 1 <br /> I <br /> i <br />
