' BlaeS Environmental Management Inc U-14aulf#709-50 <br /> 002-70950-04 Groundwater Monitonng Report <br /> 09/09/02 <br /> ' In addition, two remedial test wells (one air sparge, and one nested well extraction vapor proposed <br /> P } were <br /> ' near the westernmost former dispenser island Following the installation of the additional wells, <br /> remedial feasibility studies would then include a vapor extraction and air sparge test, an aquifer pump <br /> ' test, and a biofeasibility analysis of the soil and groundwater <br /> On January 23, 2002, Blaes Environmental received authorization from the SJC to permit the proposed <br /> I ' wells and proceed with off-site access for the additional monitor wells On February 27, 2002, Blaes <br /> Environmental received a well permit from the SJC for the installation of the remedial test wells (VEW- <br /> ' 112 and ASW-1) and the on-site monitor well (MW-10) During the week of April 8, 2002, these three <br /> wells were installed(see Section 2 4) <br /> 1 4 PROGRAM OBJECTIVES <br /> ' The objective of the quarterly groundwater monitoring program is to provide additional data (monitoring <br /> ' and analytical data)to further evaluate groundwater conditions beneath the site <br /> 1 5 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The current quarterly monitoring event was conducted in June 2002 The monitoring event involved the <br /> ' following tasks 1) collecting field measurements of groundwater conditions from all of the well casings <br /> in each of the well locations, 2) purging monitoring wells prior to collecting groundwater samples, 3) <br /> ' storing and profiling purged groundwater for disposal/treatment, 4) analyzing groundwater samples, and <br /> 5) the preparation of this report <br /> 1 6 PROJECT TEAM <br /> ' The project team consisted of Blaes Environmental of Phoenix, Arizona, and Del Mar Analytical, Inc <br /> (Del Mar), a California State certified analytical laboratory located in Irvine, California Blaes <br /> Environmental coordinated and managed the project, performed field measurements, collected, sealed <br /> and arranged for proper transport of the groundwater samples to the analytical laboratory, and prepared <br /> ' this report Del Mar provided sample containers and laboratory analysis of groundwater samples <br /> collected at the site <br /> II ' <br /> 2 <br /> 11 <br />
