Bla@S EnvlrOnnrelrtal Management Inc <br /> 002-70950-03 U-Haul4709-50 <br /> Work Plan <br /> 11/8/01 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Blaes Environmental Management, Inc (Blaes Environmental), on behalf of U-Haul <br /> International/AMERCO Real Estate Company(Amerco/U-Haul), has prepared this Work Plan for additional <br /> groundwater investigation and remedial testing activities at U-Haul facility 4709-50 located at 2701 North <br /> Wilson Way in Stockton, California (the site) (Figure 1) The San Joaquin County Public Health Services, <br /> Environmental Health Division (SJC) has requested a work plan for continued groundwater monitoring and <br /> testing of possible remedial technologies for future use at the site in response to previous environmental <br /> investigations and recent results of groundwater monitoring activities <br /> This work plan presents the scope of work to 1) continue environmental investigation of groundwater <br /> conditions, 2) test potential remedial options, 3) prepare a corrective action plan, and 4) a tentative schedule <br /> of planned activities The planned groundwater investigation activities will include the installation of three <br /> additional groundwater monitor wells to define the lateral extent of hydrocarbons in groundwater and <br /> subsequent monitoring Remedial testing activities will include the installation of two test wells, a <br /> biofeasibility analysis of soil, a soil vapor extraction test, an air sparge test, and a groundwater pump test <br /> The purpose of these proposed activities is to prepare a corrective action plan for submittal to the SJC <br /> 1 1 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> U-Haul Facility 709-50 is located at 2701 North Wilson Way on the northwest corner of the intersection <br /> of North Wilson Way and Sanguinetti Lane in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The site is situated in a <br /> commercial area and is currently used as an equipment storage and rental facility The site is generally <br /> flat with a slight grade to the southeast The site elevation is approximately 21 feet above mean sea level <br /> A general site plan is included as Figure 2 <br /> 12 PROJECT STATUS <br /> The SJC recently sent Amerco/U-Haul a letter, dated September 19, 2001, that summarized the current <br /> status of the investigation and remediation of hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater at the site The mayor <br /> points mentioned in the letter are presented below <br /> 1 <br />
