1WingSeptember 2000 <br /> On March 21 and 22, 2001, Blaes Environmental collected 17 groundwater samples from the monitor <br /> well casings associated with the site Purging techniques employed during this sampling event included <br /> only bailing No pumping was used for sample collection The purged water was transferred from five- <br /> gallon buckets to an on-site 1,000-gallon polyethylene storage tank Approximately three well volumes <br /> of groundwater were purged from the wells and periodic parameter readings were recorded on the field <br />' data sheets included in Appendix D <br />' 3.2.2.1r —March 2001 <br /> Following purging, groundwater samples were collected from the on-site groundwater wells using new <br />' polyethylene disposable bailers Prior to sample collection, the depth to groundwater was measured to <br /> confirm that the groundwater level had recovered to within 90% of its original level The water level <br />' measurements, sample name, time, and sample containers were recorded on a sample data sheets included <br /> in Appendix D <br /> Groundwater samples collected at the esite were contained in appropriate sample containers supplied by <br /> • Del Mar Analytical Following collection, the groundwater samples were placed in an iced cooler and <br /> transported,under proper chain-of-custody record,to Del Mar Analytical for analysis <br /> 3.2.2.2 Groundwater SampleAnatmis—March 2001 <br /> The groundwater samples were analyzed for TPHg and TPHd using EPA Method 8015M, and BTEX, <br /> MTBE, TBA, DIPE, ETBE, and TAME according to EPA Method 8260B The chain-of-custody <br /> document indicates the analysis for each sample collected at the site <br /> 3.2.3 Groundwater Anal ical Results—March 2001 <br /> ILaboratory analytical results from the March 2001 groundwater sampling event indicate that groundwater <br /> beneath the site contains hydrocarbons at variable concentrations A summary of analytical results for the <br />' March 2001 sampling event is presented in Table 3 A copy of the corresponding laboratory analytical <br /> report and chain-of-custody documentation is provided in Appendix E <br /> 07/10/01 <br /> Blaes Project#002-70950-02 12 bjm C 1BLAESIU-HauI\70950170950r101 doc <br />
