1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report presents a summary of activities and results for the first quarter 1999 quarterly groundwater <br /> monitoring program conducted at U-Haul Facility #709-50 located at 2701 North Wilson Way in <br /> tStockton, California This report summarizes the events conducted at the site from January 1, 1999 to <br /> March 31, 1999 and provides a summary of the site background, a description of the groundwater <br /> monitoring and sampling event conducted on March 23 and 24, 1999 <br /> Background information to support this document was compiled from technical reports prepared by <br /> SOTA Environmental Technology, Inc (SOTA) of San Diego, California(SOTA, 1997) Copies of these <br /> reports are on file at San Joaquin County Public Health Division(SJCPHD) <br /> 1.1 Site Location and Description <br /> U-Haul Facility 709-50 is located at 2701 North Wilson Way on the northwest corner of the intersection <br /> of North Wilson Way and Sangwnetti Lane in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The site is situated in a <br /> commercial area and is currently used as an equipment storage and rental facility Site elevation is <br /> approximately 21 feet above mean sea level and is generally flat, exhibiting no significant changes in <br /> relief across the site A general site plan is included as Figure 1 <br /> 1.2 Project Authorization <br /> In January 1999, Blaes Environmental was contracted by Amerco Real Estate Company/U-Haul <br /> International (Amerco/U-Haul) to conduct a soil and groundwater characterization and remediation <br /> program at the site As part of the program, Amerco/U-Haul authorized quarterly groundwater monitoring <br /> and reporting, which will help determine the effectiveness of the remedial program <br /> i <br /> APR 0 1999 <br /> EI\NVIRUN M t N i -%,- ricAL.TH <br /> PERMIT / SERVICES <br /> 1 <br />
