The three water samples were analyzed for total petroleum
hydrocarbons (TPH) and purgeable aromatic hydrocarbons (BTE&X) in
accordance with the DHS Method (801-m) and EPA Method 80
Contaminated water developed from purging the monitoring wells was
stored in 55 gallon drumsn site. The drums were labeled with the
' site location, date of accumulation, contents, and the consultants
name and phone number.
' A survey to locate water wells within a 2 , 000 feet radius of the
subject site was conducted at the California Department of Water
Resources. It has been noted that the ground water gradient beneath
' the subject site has shown seasonal reversals. We believe that the
cause of this is probably a pumping well that is located to the
north of the subject property.
' FINDINGS
Ground water was measured at a depth of approximately 82 to 83 feet
in the monitoring wells. The relative casing elevations, depth to
water and piezometric surface determined from the monitoring well
measurements are recorded in Table 1 . The ground water gradient is
generally flat, less than . 001, to the north (Figure 2) .
TPH and BTE&X were detected in the water sample from MW1 (Table 2) .
TPH was not detected, at a detection limit of . 5 mg/1 in the water
samples from MW2 and MW3 (Table 2) . BTE&X were not detected, at a
detection limit of . 3 gg/l to . 6 gg/l , in the water samples from
1 MW2 and MW3 (Table 2) .
The laboratory analysis quality control/quality assurance data,
/laboratory state certification, and chain of custody are attached.
Three ground water wells were located within a 2 , 000 foot radius
of the subject site (Figure 3) . The well owners, locations, date
drilled and there usages are listed as follows:
Location: Sanguinett.i Lane and Mistletoe Ave
Owner: California Water Service
' Date Drilled: 1956
Use: Water Well
I
' Location: 2336 Robbindale
Owner: J.
