' Blaes Errvrronntental Management Inc U-Hau]9709 50 <br /> 002-70950-04 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> 1/23/03 <br /> • <br /> ' 10 INTRODUCTION <br /> ' This report presents a summary of activities and results of the groundwater monitoring program <br /> conducted during the fourth quarter of 2002 (December 3, 4, and 5, 2002) at U-Haul Facility #709-50 <br /> 1 located at 2701 North Wilson Way in Stockton, California The report presents a background of site <br /> conditions and a brief summary of the procedures and results for the most recent groundwater monitoring <br /> event <br /> ' 1 1 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> U-Haul Facility 709-50 is located at 2701 North Wilson Way, on the southwest corner of the intersection <br /> ' of North Wilson Way and Sangumetti Lane in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The site is situated in a <br /> commercial area and is currently used as an equipment storage and rental facility The site is generally <br /> ' flat with a slight grade to the southeast The site elevation is approximately 2I feet above mean sea <br /> level A general site plan is included as Figure 2 <br /> 1 • <br /> 12 PROJECT AUTHORIZATION <br /> ' In January 1999, Blaes Environmental Management, Inc (Blaes Environmental) was contracted by <br /> Amerco Real Estate Company/U-Haul International (U-Haul) to conduct a soil and groundwater <br /> ' remediation program at the site The remediation program included developing a Remedial Action Plan <br /> (RAP), conducting remedial testing, and performing quarterly groundwater monitoring and reporting <br /> ' Prior to initiating remedial activities at the site, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (SJCEHD) requested several additional groundwater monitoring events and site <br /> characterization activities to confirm the concentration of petroleum hydrocarbons and to further <br /> evaluate the extent of the hydrocarbon plume in groundwater at the site <br /> ' 13 PROJECT STATUS <br /> ' In November 2001, Blaes Environmental submitted a work plan to the SJCEHD detailing proposed work <br /> for the site <br /> • 1 <br /> 1 <br />
